KEN BURGNER - Bass

kenb@49ford.net

Another Yankee! Born in NYC and Long Island grown Ken initially took up the bass in 1979. One of his first influences was Geezer Butler from Black Sabbath. Then, seriously infected with the music bug he started to expand his horizons listening to all styles of music; Jazz, Funk, Blues, Reggae and even Classical. This led him to his next great influence the legendary Jaco Pastorius and an enrollment at Five Town College in NY to study Jazz.

In the mid-'80s Ken played with an origonal NY band VOICES, a regular on the Long Island club circuit and receiving some local airplay in the process. In the late '80s Ken found himself touring the USA with a band called BACK TO EDEN.

Today Ken is in South Florida and has returned to his roots playing R&B and Blues with numerous acts like; JOEY GILMORE, BOBBY NATHAN, FRANK WARD, DAVE SHELLEY, JP SOARS, Jr DRINKWATER, JOHN CAREY and JASON RICCI.

Now, he's joined the 49 FORD "Triangle of FUNK" rhythm section and we'll see yas out there!
